RAZORFISH STUDIOS RELEASES POLYDEMIC IN MP3 FORMAT

(New York City) October 7, 1998 - Razorfish Studios announced today that "Polydemic," the debut album from Brooklyn-based instrumentalist, Ticklah, will be distributed in the MP3 format through the World Wide Web, allowing customers to download all nine tracks in CD-like quality.

"Distributing the album via digital means gives us additional control over the introduction of our recordings into the marketplace and increases our global reach," stated Michael Simon, President of Razorfish Studios. "Though we are establishing meaningful traditional distribution alliances for our recordings, we expect to lead the market in the development and commercialization of alternative distribution mechanisms."

MP3 is an open standard technology that is easy to download and gives users immediate access to music in high quality audio. MP3 is one of the most widely used and supported audio compression formats. Customers in the college-age market comprise the majority of its user base.

"By Razorfish Studios distributing MP3 audio product, we reduce our cost structure and begin to establish very direct relationships with the consumer," said Jeff Dachis, CEO of Razorfish Studios and President/CEO of Razorfish, Inc. "Having this kind of direct connection with our customers is crucial to establishing a wide and loyal user base and affords us more insight into the kinds of audiences we are reaching."

In addition to the inexpensive, downloadable version of the full-length "Polydemic" recording, the "Polydemic" CD and the "Polydemic" Limited-edition EP will also be available for purchase at http://www.rsub.com/store.
