Razorfish Studios Releases First Audio Project

April 21, 1998 (New York) - Razorfish Studios today announced its first recording project, "Polydemic" (Catalog #B-001-2), by recording artist Ticklah. In keeping with the Razorfish Studios philosophy of producing fully integrated media experiences, the Ticklah project takes shape as a Web site, a nine-song CD, and six-song limited-edition vinyl EP.

Self-produced and recorded almost entirely in a living room on an 8-track, "Polydemic" includes music akin to early 70's soul-jazz classics by Lou Donaldson, Idris Muhammad, and Herbie Hancock, with an occasional hint of dub. Audio samples of the recording can be found at http://www.ticklah.com. The album can also be purchased at this site.

"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Ticklah," said Michael Simon President of Razorfish Studios. "He's an exciting, multi-talented artist and we look forward to introducing him to a wide variety of music fans."

To celebrate the May 1 release, Ticklah is scheduled to perform at Razorfish's second annual (and now infamous) "May Day" party. Party goers will get the first opportunity to hear the music live and purchase the album.

Ticklah is a Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist (keyboards, bass, drums) who has enjoyed a successful career as a session player and remixer. Recent projects include a few remixes with DJ Spinna for multi-platinum Capricorn/Mercury recording artists 311 on such tracks as "Stealing Happy Hour" and "Prisoner" and a recording session with Sugar Minot.

Razorfish Studios produces original entertainment and educational experiences across all media and all platforms including digital products such as World-Wide Web sites, Web-based games, computer screen savers, fonts, and more traditional media including books, films, film titles, and audio recordings.
