Razorfish Subnetwork Holds First Annual "Length Matters" Short Film Contest

NEW YORK, NY--November 18, 1999--Razorfish Subnetwork (RSUB) announced today that it will give away 12 digital cameras as part of its first annual "LENGTH MATTERS" RSUBOX SHORT FILM CONTEST. RSUBOX (www.rsubox.com), the Subnetwork's premium streaming video destination, is currently accepting submissions for the contest.

"RSUB is committed to providing our viewing audience with the coolest content around," says Michael Simon, President of RSUB. "What better way to find that content than to encourage our viewers to submit their own work?"

"We're looking for quality films and animations that embody the Razorfish Subnetwork experience," says Hillary Evans, Executive Producer of RSUBOX and Director of the short film contest. "Our hope is that the contest will create some truly entertaining content for our viewing audience, and maybe help some insurgent filmmakers gain global recognition along the way."

Each submission selected for screening on RSUBOX will be automatically entered into the RSUBOX Weekly Contest, where viewers will rate the films. The film that receives the highest rating for each week will move on to compete for a digital camera in the Monthly Contest. At the end of the year, each monthly winner will compete for the grand prize, a Mini DV camera.

According to Evans, each film selected for display will gain substantial recognition. "They will be prominently included on RSUBOX with their own promotional material, and they will all be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week," she says.

RSUB produces, acquires, manages, and distributes ideas as entertainment and information across a range of media, including digital media products such as websites and digital games, as well as books, audio recordings, and materials relating to each of those products and services. More information about RSUB can be found online at the company's award-winning website http://www.rsub.com.
