Razorfish Studios Announces Expansion of Business Development Department

(New York) July 7, 1999 - Razorfish Studios, Inc. today announced the appointment of Maurice Russell as Senior Director, Business Development and Finance. In his new role, Mr. Russell will work with Razorfish Studios President Michael Simon to carry out the business affairs and financial operations of the company.

"Maurice's extensive background in entertainment business development and planning is essential to the rapid growth and development of Razorfish Studios," said Michael Simon.

Prior to joining Razorfish, Mr. Russell was Senior Director of Licensing and Business Development for the independent record label Red Ant Entertainment. Prior to Red Ant, Mr. Russell worked at Polygram Records, Inc., where he headed the contract administration department. Mr. Russell also previously served as an Investment Banking Analyst for The First Boston Corporation. Mr. Russell holds a B.A. in history from Columbia University and an M.B.A. in finance and international business from New York University.

Mr. Russell will join existing department member Carah Von Funk, who also serves as Senior Director, Business Development, for Studios. Prior to working at Razorfish, Ms. Von Funk was Director of Development at Kadokawa Productions, an independent Los Angeles feature film production company. Prior to Kadokawa, she worked in the development/acquisitions department at the Samuel Goldwyn Company. Before her work in Los Angeles, she worked for several years in the New York independent film industry in various production capacities on such films as The Thin Blue Line and True Love.

Ms. Von Funk holds a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. In addition, she received a B.F.A. from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, School of Film, where she graduated cum laude as a University Honors Scholar.
