"The Eddie Vedder jumping off of the scaffolding at Lollapalooza in (I think) '93 - it was right when Pearl Jam was getting a lot of press and they were obviously really good. People started paying attention. I thought it was really bold of him to climb up the scaffold and jump off considering they were about to be worth a lot of money. Also the photograph of Eddie sitting by the fence was totally casual. My friend was interviewing him for a surfing magazine and he asked me to come along. I asked Ed if he cared if I took pictures, which he didn't and I was just snapping away while they were talking pretty much. It was a totally un-posed situation."
