"The photograph of Billy Corgan with the guitar, I had gone out to Chicago
because they were just about to record melon collie and the infinite
sadness and they were doing a couple of shows in town to try out their new
material. Billy was sitting in the backstage area of the back door with
his guitar and their producer, flood, walked in. I remember not knowing
who flood was and I kept thinking, "oh, there's a great shot of Billy, but
this guy is in my way.", and I was trying to cut him out of the picture the
whole time. Billy was playing "cupid" for him for the first time. I ended
up cropping flood out of the picture. I like this picture because Billy
looks really vulnerable and really sweet, which he really is. I don't
think people really see that side of him." -- Danny Clinch, 1998
